![]() COVID 19 is a great example of unexpected things that can happen that can cause effect the costume production/delivery. We do this because we do not want our dancers to expect a certain costume and then get their hopes up when something may happen to make it so that costume is unavailable. We made the decision to not post pictures of costumes until we received them in hand because we did not want to promise a certain costume and something unexpected (shipment dates change, material not available, all sizes not available) to happen and we not be able to use those costumes. Unfortunately that was something that the dance studio nor the costume companies could control. Due to that costume production times were slowed down, some items became unavailable, and shipment dates were pushed back. Unfortunately with COVID-19, dance costume production companies had to shut down for a period of time due to mandatory stay at home orders. ![]() The costume process was definitely not how we intended it to go. We also provided our dance families a 10% discount for the months of April and May, and provided extra classes, videos, and rehearsals for our dancers at no additional cost. Due to having to do a in studio recital we gave all of our dance families a $45 credit. Encore was so happy to be able to provide all of our dancers a opportunity to perform in a in stud io recital and also a virtual recital via Zoom for our dance families that were not ready to attend in person classes. Our dancers had worked so hard on their recital dances we wanted to provide them with our an opportunity to perform for their families. Due to COVID-19 our recital venue had to close and cancel all of its events. We checked our data base and we haven’t seemed to have the opportunity to work with you directly as a dancer or dance parent. Whether it is in dance or the discipline that goes along with learning the art, we believe your children will gain confidence in themselves and carry it with them in whatever they choose to do in their life. Some of their accomplishments have been dance captain positions, cruise ships, Disney, film, TV, Radio City Rockettes, and the Russian Ballet Company. ![]() We are so proud of our Alumni that now work professionally across the country. And those that have gone on to pursue a career beyond high school, have received scholarships and attend university dance programs across the country, including NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Boston Conservatory, and University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Many of our current students have been accepted and attend the highly accredited Los Angeles High School of Performing Arts. We support our students in following their dreams and finding their own paths. ![]() We feel this is a more positive way to share their passion and leads them towards University programs and/or starting a career in dance.Īt ENCORE, we believe that the study of dance is an art form, a long distance marathon. We also encourage our company members to pursue their dancing by auditioning for the Performing Art High Schools and showcasing their dance work in professional events in Hollywood. ![]() Through performing for charities and community events, we focus on the reward of giving back thru artistry. Our performing groups are for those children looking to study more intently. They are perfect role models for any of our students and you will see instantly their passion for dance as well.Īlthough some schools choose to compete, ours does not. Our instructors come from all over the country and now reside in Los Angeles, where they are either pursuing a career in dance, choreography, or teaching professional dancers at the top schools in Hollywood. Whether your child is here to dance recreationally or to study the art of dance seriously, we have an unbelievable staff to accommodate both. We believe firmly that we have the best instruction in the entire San Gabriel Valley. ![]()
